The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The support place created for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that read more makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
